About Me

I am a homeschooling mom to six kids (plus four in heaven), who is married to a patient, supportive, crazy smart man whom I met on the internet way back in the days of screaming modems. I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Rutgers University, and a Master’s Degree in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University. I have been employed by the secular media and the Catholic media, and I have also been active in parish life for many years. I am a Level I catechist in the Catechesis of the Good Shephard program and I am the co-founder of Heart to Heart, a sixteen-year-old Catholic Apostolate based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have a passion for living out the liturgical year in the home, and for trying to help others do the same. My hope is that something you read here will touch your heart, prompt you to act, cause you to pause and reflect, or inspire a project, recipe, craft, effort, pilgrimage, or even just a prayer. We all need more prayer, right? I would love to hear from you with any of your ideas for living out the faith in your home. I am a zealous collector of liturgical year ideas and traditions. The running joke in my family is that anything done once becomes a tradition. Bring it! I hope you find some reason to linger, I hope you are blessed, and I hope to hear from you soon. God bless your day!
